Christopher Salter

Dr. Christopher Salter is an artist, Director of the Hexagram Centre for Research-Creation in Media Arts and Technology at Concordia University (Montreal) and Associate Professor for Design+Computation Arts at Concordia. He was also Guest Professor at RISD, Brown University and the KhM in Cologne. He collaborated with Peter Sellars and William Forsythe before co-founding the collective Sponge, whose works stretched between artistic production, theoretical reflection and scientific research. Salter’s performances, installations, research and publications have been presented at numerous festivals and conferences around the world. His first book Entangled: Technology and the Transformation of Performance (MIT Press) was published in 2010.
